Hyperhidrosis is a common condition in which a person sweats excessively. The sweating may affect the whole of your body, or it may only affect certain areas. Commonly affected areas include the: armpits. palms of your hands.

Excessive sweating is a common condition, which affects between one and three in 100 people. When there is no obvious cause for your sweating, it is known as primary hyperhidrosis. People with secondary hyperhidrosis know what causes their sweating, with pregnancy, the menopause, anxiety, certain medications, low blood sugar, an overactive thyroid gland and infections being common triggers

Here at A L Medical we can offer non surgical options for treatment following thorough assessment and if necessary investigation Treatment with the use of Botox (Botulinum Toxin ) to block the nerve signals responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. Retreatment is typically needed in four to six months, as the nerves regenerate. Over time, however, patients can go longer between treatments.
