Teeth Grinding / Bruxism / Jaw Slimming

Teeth Grinding / Bruxism / Jaw Slimming

In the fast-paced world we live in, stress and anxiety can manifest in various ways, one of the most common being teeth grinding, or bruxism. This habitual clenching and grinding of the teeth, often occurring unconsciously during sleep, can lead to a host of problems, including headaches, jaw pain, tooth damage, and even disrupted sleep patterns. However, there is a solution that can provide relief and protect your dental health – Bruxism Treatment with Botulinum Toxin.

What is Bruxism? Bruxism, commonly known as teeth grinding or clenching, is a condition characterized by the involuntary grinding or clenching of the teeth, typically during sleep. This repetitive motion can exert tremendous pressure on the teeth, jaw muscles, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ), leading to various issues such as tooth wear, jaw pain, headaches, and even TMJ disorders.

As a regulated activity overseen by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in the UK which can only be performed by qualified medical professionals with advanced knowledge and skill sets we are pleased to one of the only clinics within Stockport / Cheshire registered to provide this service

What are Teeth Grinding/ Bruxism/ Jaw Slimming  Treatments?

Nocturnal bruxism or sleep related bruxism is a chronic contraction of the muscle. Consequences of this may include damage to teeth, jaw discomfort, fatigue, pain or temporal headache upon wakening. Injecting the Masseter muscle is seen to be an effective form of treatment in reducing the symptoms with a cosmetic improvement in facial width due to shrinkage of the masseter muscle with the added positive effect of jaw/facial slimming

How do Teeth Grinding/ Bruxism/ Jaw Slimming  Treatments work?
