What are Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments?


Is a medical treatment where by your own blood is used to accelerate healing .


How do Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) work?


When having PRP the goal is to concentrate platelets from you the patient by extracting and spinning your own blood then injecting this in to certain areas to stimulate this process.


What kind of results will I see from Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?


Depending on the areas treated the effects take time, as often there is a cycle that must occur.


What areas can be treated with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?


PRP is currently used in a wide variety of orthopaedic, surgical and aesthetic practice including treatment of alopecia , post hair transplant, scar revision and skin rejuvenation


How many treatments will I need?


A minimum of 3 sessions ideally 4 are recommended for both treatment of alopecia and skin rejuvenation of the face or hands 1 month apart


How much do treatments cost?


Cost of treatment for:

Alopecia/ Hair loss or post Hair Transplant £225 per session

Facial Rejuvenation £275 per session


Do Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments hurt?


PRP treatments do not hurt however we are using needles to inject treatment therefore some very short lived discomfort is sometimes experienced, certain areas like the scalp can be molre sensitive however topical numbing agent and distraction methods are used in clinic very effectively


Which  product brand do you use?


We use PRP vials from PRPLabs  and obviously the rest of the product comes from you the patient.
