IM Vitamins
Intramuscular (IM) Vitamins for supplementation and wellness
Intramuscular (IM) vitamin injections are a method of administering vitamins directly into the muscle tissue. This allows for higher doses of vitamins to be delivered compared to oral supplements, ensuring optimal absorption into the bloodstream.
As a regulated activity overseen by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in the UK which can only be performed by qualified medical professionals with advanced knowledge and skill sets we are pleased to one of the only clinics within Stockport / Cheshire registered to provide this service
Why Choose IM Vitamin Therapy?
Increased Absorption and Bioavailability When vitamins are taken orally, they must go through the digestive system before reaching the bloodstream. Much of the nutrient content can be lost during this process due to things like stomach acid breakdown or incomplete absorption in the gut. IM injection bypasses this, allowing 100% of the vitamin dose to be immediately absorbed into the muscle for enhanced bioavailability.
Higher Therapeutic Dosing IM injections enable much higher doses of vitamins to be administered safely compared to oral supplements. This can be crucial for conditions requiring very high vitamin levels to be therapeutic, such as vitamin B12 deficiency, metabolic disorders or certain autoimmune diseases.
Enhanced Effectiveness For patients who struggle to adequately absorb oral vitamins due to factors like age, medical conditions or medications, IM injection therapy can be significantly more effective. By optimising nutrient levels, it supports the body's ability to function properly.
Convenience and Compliance Taking numerous daily vitamin supplements can be inconvenient and difficult to sustain long-term. IM injections eliminate this challenge, while also ensuring full compliance with the prescribed dose
