As you know, at AL, we constantly hone our skills and research new treatments to ensure we are always able to offer the very best. As such, we take training and development very seriously and apply the same ethos to looking into new initiatives and technology. We’re really rather excited, therefore, to bring the new double whammy treatment, Focus Dual. Lynton Lasers say Focus Dual can ‘lift, firm, tighten’ and give skin back its ‘snap’. Oh yes. We’ll have some of THAT!
Get That Glow
Perhaps you’ve already heard of, or even tried, the celebrity favourite HIFU Facial? HIFU or, to give it its full title, High-Intensity Focussed Ultrasound is loved for its non-invasive yet impressive results. HIFU fans rave about its skin-tightening and apparent lifting capabilities, with several A-listers including Jennifer Aniston publicly singing its praises. Let’s face it, Jen’s skin looks ace. Sure, she may have had a few tweakments but nothing over-the-top, and at fifty-something she still has a definite GLOW. And that’s what it’s all about really, isn’t it? That glow. Being happy in your skin. Looking the very best you can, whatever your age - not some eternal quest for supposed youth.
How Does HIFU Work?
HIFU emits ultrasound energy under the skin, through all the skin layers which stimulates the collagen production. HIFU has been found to be a highly effective firming, tightening and lifting the facial treatment – and can even help to reduce excess skin elsewhere on the body.
Collagen - a natural protein – is what gives skin that youthful firmness and tightness. Collagen stores are depleted with age and collagen also loses strength and structure. This is how gravity begins to take its toll on the skin. HIFU helps the skin to produce new collagen which encourages the repair process.
To the Power of Two
And now, Lynton Lasers have cleverly combined the near-magic power of HIFU with ANOTHER skin experts’ favourite, Radio Frequency Microneedling (RMF) to create the Focus Dual. Focus Dual is already setting industry tongues wagging as they whisper about its notable skin lifting, tightening and firming abilities. With the aim of improving every layer of the skin, the Focus Dual utilises HIFU to target the deeper skin layers. The targeted heat boosts collagen and elastin levels. Collagen and elastin are essential for skin’s firm, plump inner structure.
Then, step forward Radio Frequency Microneedling. The energy delivered by microneedling helps stimulate the skin’s fibres, and also sparks the body’s natural healing response which is known to encourage collagen production. Overall, the power of two in Dual Focus aims to improve and support the skin’s structure, to promote firmness and plumpness. The gold standard; the Holy Grail!
Benefits of Focus Dual
Benefits and improvements reported so far include:
· Shrink open pores
· Smooth wrinkles
· Tighten skin
· Reduce double chin
· Lift eyebrows
· Minimise eyebags
· Sculpt jaw line
· Treat scars
So that’s the summary and the advantages. Surely there must be disadvantages. Downtime? Discomfort? Well, as with everything we do, there’ll be a thorough consultation and we will go through everything with you – including ascertaining that this is the right treatment for you.
Focus Dual – Is It Right for You?
It almost certainly is - after all, Focus Dual:
· Has a proven safety record
· Is suitable for all skin colours
· Is a non-surgical treatment
· Is a comfortable treatment
Otherwise, in a nutshell: Downtime is negligible – your skin may tingle or feel hot and may appear a little red for a while. Results, however, can be seen following the very first session. Treatment is relatively quick – we’re talking lunchtime lift here. Discomfort really is minimal – think tingling or a warm sensation. This will vary according to the individual, but if you’ve already experienced Microneedling or even tried laser hair removal, this won’t be a shock to you. And, ok, it’s not some airy-fairy relaxing and scented facial massage - but it WORKS. And isn’t that well worth a little prickle?
